PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of driving power distribution of a four-wheel drive vehicle. SOLUTION: An ECU for driving power distribution 21 is provided with a CPU 22, a ROM 23, and a RAM 24 and an input and output circuit 25. The CPU 22 has detection signals from wheel speed sensors 34a-34d inputted and calculates differential rotating speedΔN based on the detection signals. The CPU 22 has dataμ1 from an electric PS installation ECU 31 and dataμ2 from an ABS ECU 32 inputted and distinguishes between lowμtraveling surface and highμtraveling surface and increases and decrease a count number of a count number memory part 24a with using the differential rotating speedΔN, dataμ1 andμ2. Based on the count number, the CPU 22 selects a drive mode of a four-wheel drive vehicle from a four-wheel drive inclination mode and a two-wheel drive inclination mode according to a mode-selecting program.
