PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost declinometer having high measuring precision while excluding an azimuth measuring error due to inclination of a vehicle even when the vehicle is inclined. SOLUTION: The declinometer is equipped with an x-axis accelerometer 1 and a y-axis accelerometer 2 equipped on both the x, y coordinate axes set in conformity with the horizontal reference plane of the declinometer in accordance with the orthogonal 3-axes coordinate system of x, y, z set in the declinometer for measuring the azimuth of a vehicle, a gyro 3 secured on the z- coordinate axis perpendicular to the horizontal reference plane, and an azimuth calculating means 4 for accurately calculating the azimuthΨZ corresponding to the rotational angle of the vehicle around the vertical axis (Z axis) of the earth at all times by using the x-axis accelerated velocity Ax, the y-axis accelerated velocity Ay and the gyro detected angular velocityωz detected in the x-axis accelerometer 1, the y-axis accelerometer 2 and the gyro 3 even when the mobile is inclined.
