PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel in which the rotational angle of a lens frame for housing a shutter block can be made larger. SOLUTION: This lens barrel is equipped with a front group lens frame for supporting a front group lens and guided straight in an optical axis direction; a rear group lens frame for supporting a rear group lens; a lens frame driving mechanism for integrally moving the lens frames in the optical axis direction by permitting the relative turning of the rear group lens frame to the front group lens frame in the vicinity of a housing position for the front and the rear lens frames and preventing the relative rotation of the rear group lens frame to the front group lens frame in a photographing area except the vicinity of the housing position; the shutter block provided in the rear group lens frame so as to relatively rotate to the rear group lens frame and move together with it in the optical axis direction, and having a shutter and a flexible printed circuit board for transmitting an action signal to the shutter; and a shutter block guiding mechanism always restricting the rotation of the shutter block around an optical axis and guiding the shutter block straight in the optical axis direction regardless to whether the rear group lens frame is relatively turned to the front group lens frame by the lens frame driving mechanism.
