PURPOSE: A device for inputting a fingerprint in a portable terminal using a camera lens assembly is provided to read a user's fingerprint to compare the read fingerprint with a pre-inputted fingerprint, and to determine whether to approve the user, thereby improving a security function. CONSTITUTION: A camera lens assembly(111) is installed on an upper surface of a portable terminal. A darkroom device(113) is installed to surround the camera lens assembly(111), and obtains a focusing distance in order the camera lens assembly(111) reads a fingerprint image, depending on whether being protruded from the upper surface of the portable terminal. A glass cover(115) is installed on an upper end of the darkroom device(113). An LED is installed within the darkroom device(113), and supplies light to illuminate an entire surface of the glass cover(115). The glass cover(115) is sloped at predetermined angle for an axis direction of the darkroom device(113). The glass cover(115) has a prism function, and installs a camera according to an angle of the light transmitted through the glass cover(115).
