PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient container capable of being equipped with a fitting structure cover and a cover having a structure to be fitted. SOLUTION: A straight wall 2 approximately vertically hanging by a predetermined length from an upper opening margin is mounted on a circumferential surface upper part of an upper opening type container main body 1, and a step 3 having a smaller diameter than that of the straight wall 2 is arranged side by side at the lower edge of the straight wall 2 so that the diameter of the circumferential surface of the container main body 1 below the step 3 is smaller than that of the upper circumferential surface of the straight wall 2. When the fitting structure cover 4 having a hanging part 4A for attaching at the rim of the cover 4 to be fitted in the inner side of the upper opening 1A of the container main body 1 is mounted on the upper opening 1A to clog it, a leak proof packing 5 on the outer circumferential surface of the hanging part 4A is compressively locked to the inner circumferential surface of the straight wall 2.
