PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the corrosion resistance of a clogging material for clogging and opening a blast furnace tap hole, and to extend tapping time. SOLUTION: The clogging material for a blast furnace tap hole contains NiO powder of <=0.5 mm length in 0.01 to 10.0 wt.%. The clogging material preferably contains the powder or coarse grains of a silicon carbide raw material in >=1 wt.%. |
