PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for a liquid crystal display device without adversely affecting display performance of a lateral electric field type liquid crystal display device and maintaining display quality of the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A pigment content of a blue pixel constituting the color filter is 20 wt.% or less with respect to 100 wt.% of the blue pixel, further the film thickness of the blue pixel is 2 μm or thinner and the volume resistivity of the blue pixel is 1.0×10<12> -1.0×10<14> Ωcm. In the pigment content of the blue pixel, a content of a pigment expressed with a chemical formula (1) is 15-19 wt.% and a content of a pigment expressed with a chemical formula (2) is 0.5-1 wt.% with respect to 100 wt.% of the blue pixel, and a chromaticity coordinate (x, y) of the blue pixel with C light source in XYZ colorimetric system is x<=0.140, y<=0.120. |
