PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer instrument which has a pointing part of a pointer with excellent visibility, and in which the luminescent color of the pointing part is arbitrarily selectable. SOLUTION: This pointer instrument is provided with a light emitting diode 27; an instrument body 2 having a rotary shaft 3; the pointer 4 having the pointing part 6 and a light receiving part 10 operated in response to the rotation of the rotary shaft 3; and a liquid crystal panel 13 having a through-hole 14 for inserting a pointer shaft 5 of the pointer 4 with liquid crystal injected between a pair of transparent substrates having transparent electrodes formed. The liquid crystal panel 13 has a plurality of segment parts changed over between a permeable state and an impermeable state for light by applying a voltage to the transparent electrodes in a region opposite to the operation range of the receiving part 10, and a color filter of a plurality of colors corresponding to the segment parts. The pointing part 6 emits light by using the light of the diode 27 permeated the liquid crystal and the color filter, emitted from the segment parts and entered from the receiving part 10. |
