PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize a recording operation and to improve the efficiency by reducing a total recording time period including a recovery operation by a method wherein the timing is selected by considering a data transferring time period or a moving time period of a carriage to efficiently move a recording head in an inkjet recorder. SOLUTION: Recovery operation sections (a preliminary ejection receptive section) 23, 24 for maintaining or recovering an ink ejection performance of a recording means are provided to both sides of a recordable region, respectively. A total recording time period including a recovery operation is calculated based on a time period of from the start to the completion of the recording of the recording data and a time period to the next recovery operation when the recording data is received in case the recovery operation is performed before receiving the next recording data and in case the recovery operation is performed after the next recording operation is performed. The recording operation is performed by a pattern having the shorter total recording time period calculated in the above. |
