PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual operating machine capable of preheating a carburetor by simple processing. SOLUTION: In this manual operating machine comprising an internal combustion engine 1 mounted in a casing 31 and receiving the cooling air current through a cooling air fan, the carburetor 2 for supplying the fuel-air mixture to the internal combustion engine 1, and a casing wall 3 positioned between the internal combustion engine 1 and the carburetor 2 for guiding the cooling air current, a preheating window 4 is formed on a casing wall 3, the cooling air current heated by the internal combustion engine 1 is partially guided to an outer face 9 of the carburetor 2 as the preheating air current 5 through the preheating window 4, and a revolvable switching element 6 is mounted to close or open the preheating window 4.
