PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rocker arm, in which a shaft hole is formed in a state of properly keeping relationships of a first connecting part and a second connecting part to the shaft hole, without lowering strength of a position for forming the shaft hole. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the rocker arm 1 comprises: a step for punching a metal plate 101 to form a hollow part 14 and a pair of projecting parts 131 opposite to a lateral direction of the hollow part 14; a step for deformation by pressing, in which, with restraining at least both faces of the metal plate 101, a peripheral face of the metal plate 101 is pressed from both sides in a direction the projecting parts 131 face each other to deform the projecting parts in the projecting directions so as to narrow spacing between the pair of projecting parts; and a step for folding the metal plate that has been deformed by pressing to make a pair of side wall parts 13 having the pair of projecting parts 131 be opposite to each other.
