PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily execute work for installing a beam. SOLUTION: An erection supporting body in equipped with; flanges 5b which can be bolted to both ends of the beam 1; pedestals 5 which are provided in accordance with positions for supporting both the ends of the beam 1 and to which the flanges 5b are welded; and guide members 6 which are fixed to the flanges 5b and engaged with the beam 1 in a longitudinally movable manner. The flanges 5b are engaged with both the ends of the beam 1 via the guide members 6; the beam 1 is transported so that both the ends of the beam 1 can be located extremely close to the pedestals 5; the respective flanges 5b are appropriately moved in the longitudinal direction of the beam 1 and bolted to both the ends of the beam 1; and the flanges 5b are welded for fixation to the pedestals 5.
