PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stretchable warp knitted fabric for clothing, capable of changing stretching power and stretchbility in either direction of the warp or weft or both in a desired area and surely exhibits fitness for the body and physique correction function. SOLUTION: In this stretchable warp knitted fabric A in which a stretchable yarn is inserted or knitted, at least one of stretching power and extensibility of the yarn is properly changed by combination of the different properties of the yarn such as stretching power, or stretchbiilty, in the weft direction of the knitted fabric and the change of knitting weave, a plurality of areas having difference of stretching power and/or stretchbility are formed, these areas are set according to a form in the case of use for clothing and the stretchable warp knitted fabric is provided with fixed stretching power and stretchblity according to necessity for the form for use.
