PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering gear capable of suppressing extensive weight increase even when it is used in a large vehicle. SOLUTION: In the power steering gear 1, a rack 3 fit through an interior 4a of a cylinder 4 and an interior 5a of a housing 5 pressed in the cylinder 4 is composed of a rack body 6 fit through the interior 4a of the cylinder 4 and a tooth part 7 continuous with the rack body 6, passing through the interior 5a of the housing 5, protruding from a right end side of the housing 5 and meshing with a pinion 50 inserted in the interior 5a from an insertion hole 52 of the housing 5, and a diameter of the rack body 6 is set smaller than a diameter of the tooth part 7. The rack body 6 is formed hollowly, and the tooth part 7 is formed hollowly so it is communicated with an interior 63 of the rack body 6.
