<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a false image from appearing on an image even when a PRF is high. SOLUTION: The synthetic aperture radar apparatus comprises a waveform data output device 1 by which waveform data a to be phase-modulated on the basis of a 13-bit Berker code and waveform data b to be phase-modulated on the basis of a code by right-and-left reversing the code pattern of the data a are output alternately one phase by one phase. The waveform data are converted into an analog signal by a signal generator so as to be radiated toward a target. A reflected signal from the target is converted into a video signal by a receiver 8. In a signal processing device 9, the video signal is sampled, a radar signal processing operation including a range compression operation and an azimuth compression processing operation is performed, and the video signal is demodulated by a pulse compression circuit which agrees with the waveform data a (or b) issued by the output device 1. When the waveform data b (or a) which does not agree is demodulated, an ambiguity component is not range-compressed.</p> |
