<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser making apparatus in which an increase in size and cost of the apparatus as a whole can be avoided while direct printing is made possible on an object to be marked (glass member, cemented carbide material member). SOLUTION: Before a printing operation, coordinate data based on 'A' is imparted to a galvano scanner 20 by a CPU, so that irradiation points of a laser beam 11 are scanned in a manner drawing the letter 'A' on the surface of a glass product W. In this case, the output intensity level of the laser light source 10 is adjusted slightly lower than the level L2 that causes no cracks in the glass product W. Therefore, the glass product W is prevented from being printed with the letter 'A' on its surface, while only an area to be printed with the letter 'A' and its proximity are heated in the glass product W. Then, the printing operation is performed with the laser beam having an output intensity level L1 that can print on the glass.</p> |
