PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catcher in a simple configuration, capable of reducing scattering and fogging of an ink, shortening the distance of jetting liquid droplets before impact on a printing medium to the minimum degree, and facilitating elimination of an ink fluid without posing an adverse effect on the course of the ink liquid droplets. SOLUTION: A catcher (34) is provided. The catcher (34) having a main body made of a porous material such that a first part of the main body defines a sectioning rim (36), and a second part of the main body defines a dent area (48) from the sectioning rim (36). A third part of the main body defines an oblique surface (43) elongating from a position away from the sectioning rim (36) to the sectioning rim (36). The area (48) recessed from the sectioning rim (36) has a surface elongating from the sectioning rim (36) to a position away from the sectioning rim (36). The surface of the dent area (48) is a substantially flat area, which may include a curved part. |
