PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device generating a varying torque automatically on the output shaft capable of being held in a constant speed rotation where the power supplied by a power supply unit remains constant. SOLUTION: The drive device includes a power supply unit and a torque converter. The power supply unit outputs a fixed power while the torque converter is equipped with a gear set, flywheel, input shaft, output shaft, and belt constituent parts, wherein the gear set is connected with the power supply unit, flywheel and input shaft, to transmit the power to the flywheel and input shaft. A first and a second variable diameter pulleys are installed on the input shaft and output shaft, and the belt constituent parts are set on the first and second variable diameter pulleys to transmit the power to the output shaft by the input shaft. The effective diameters of the pulleys are varied in compliance with the torques on the input shaft and output shaft so as to hold the rotating speed of the output shaft, while the flywheel complements the change in the power of the output shaft.
