PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical band seal body and an exhaust pipe joint for vehicle therewith, which prevent abnormal noise caused by a stick slip from being generated and eliminating making someone uncomfortable even if force in a twisted direction or a shearing direction is inputted to an exhaust pipe connected to a manifold. SOLUTION: The spherical band seal body 1 includes a seal body 2 in which a heat insulating material which mainly includes expansive graphite and a reinforcing material formed out of wire mesh are compressed, and the heat insulating material is disposed in the mesh of the reinforcing material formed out of wire mesh, the seal body 2 having a cylindrical inner periphery 4 which defines a through hole 3, an outer periphery 5 which is partially convexwise spherical, an annular end surface 6 on the small-diameter side, and an annular end surface 7 on the large-diameter side, and includes a seal body 8 and an transformable annular protrusion 9 which swells out slightly from the seal body 8 in an axial direction X at the inner peripheral edge of the annular end surface 7 on the large-diameter side.
