PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary lock device for a vending machine, etc., which is free from restriction of installation location thereof, simplifies daily handling thereof, and does not damage a door surface thanks to stable track of springing rotation. SOLUTION: According to the auxiliary lock device, when a door 9 is opened, a rotor 15 of a lock unit 14 is rotated by a key 17, and a lock rod 13 is pulled out of a lock hole 16 at a distal end-sided leg portion 8, followed by moving an inhibiting bar 6 in parallel in a lateral direction such that a base end-sided leg portion 7 approaches a side wall 2 of a fixed main body 1. Thereafter, the inhibiting bar 6 is moved frontward in parallel with a front surface of the door 9 until the distal end-sided leg portion 8 is pulled out of a receiving slot 12 of a catch fixture 5, and finally the inhibiting bar 6 is sprung up and rotated about the base end-sided leg portion 7 borne by a holder fixture 3. Then, an engaging recess 40 receding toward a rear side 3b is formed in an inner end of an arcuate slot 38, and a guide projection 36 is fitted into the engaging recess 40 at a termination at which the inhibiting bar 6 is sprung up and rotated.
