PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an accurate ink jet head by preventing ink from staying at nozzle opening parts where the ink is discharged, and further to obtain a recorder or the like using the ink jet head. SOLUTION: A control means 13 determines a rotational speed, a grinding position and a route for a whetstone 11 and transmits an indication signal to a driving means 12 to grind while leaving the periphery of the opening part 101 of the nozzle 102. An ink supply means supplies ink to the ink jet head having the projected nozzles. A feed screw 114 moves the ink jet head in a scanning direction and a drum 111 rotates, thereby changing a relative position between a recording paper and the ink jet head. A printing control means 117 controls discharging of ink from each nozzle and operations of the feed screw 114 and the drum 111.
