PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an inner ring of a one-way clutch, at a less manufacturing cost, reducing the number of parts items, capable of securing a size for the one-way clutch and improving the life thereof. SOLUTION: The method comprises a step of processing an outer diameter and an inner diameter with cold forging, a step of processing a raceway surface of a bearing on the outer diameter with machining after the step of cold forging, and a step of heat treatment after the step of machining. The inner ring of the one-way clutch is manufactured integrally with the inner ring of the bearing. The heat treatment step consists of a first process for carburizing treatment or carburizing and quenching treatment, a second process for depositing fine globular carbides in a carburized layer with quenching treatment, and a third process for high concentration carburizing and quenching treatment to make the carbon concentration in a surface portion higher than the carbon concentration in the surface portion obtained in the first process. |
