PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing an analytical sample in which a large number of analytical samples can be obtained efficiently and easily. SOLUTION: An analytical sample 10 is contained in the recess 2 of a supporting substrate 1a and secured thereto while touching the surface 10a of the analytical sample 10 tightly to the bottom face of the recess 2. Since the recess 2 for containing the analytical sample 10 is formed in the supporting substrate 1a, no inactive layer for forming the recess 2 is required to be formed on the supporting substrate 1a.
