PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the strobe light quantity without causing a trouble such as damage of a discharge tube. SOLUTION: By making the charge voltage of a main capacitor 25 high such as 360 to 400 V, emitted light quantity is increased. Since gas pressure inside the discharge tube 32 is set to be high such as 110 to 230 kPa, a rush current to the discharge tube 32 is restrained to decrease the damage of the discharge tube 32. By increasing filler gas pressure, the color temperature of strobe light is lowered to be an appropriate value and the image quality of a printed photograph is improved. Furthermore, the electrostatic capacity of the capacitor 25 is small such as 20 to 80μF, so that charge time is shortened and the device is miniaturized. |
