PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed compressor effectively cooling an electric motor, and improving reliability by making waste oil after lubricating a sliding part flow to a lower coil of the electric motor. SOLUTION: This sealed compressor is composed of a compression part 2 arranged in a sealed vessel 1 having an oil reservoir 10 in a bottom part, and compressing a refrigerant, the electric motor 3 for driving the compression part 2, a shaft 7 for transmitting torque of the electric motor 3 to the compression part 2, and boring a lubricating oil feeding passage 7c penetrating through a central part, a main frame 8 for supporting a main shaft 7b arranged on the tip of the shaft 7, and an oil pump 11 for supplying lubricating oil 10a of the oil reservoir 10 via the lubricating oil feeding passage 7c from one end of the shaft 7 to the sliding part of the compression part 2. The main frame 8 is provided with an oil return passage 16 for deriving the waste oil after lubricating the sliding part of the compression part 2 to the outside of the sealed vessel 1. A communicating tube 17 is arranged outside the sealed vessel 1 for communicating the oil return passage 16 with a lower part of an electric motor chamber 3c for housing the electric motor 3, and returns the waste oil to the oil reservoir 10.
