PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning device of a scanner in which a comparatively heavy condensing optical system assembly can be reciprocated against is inertia at a high speed and also at fixed speed in a main scanning direction without using a large-sized motor and the reduction of the cost of the scanner can be realized. SOLUTION: This scanning device of the scanner is characterized in that it is equipped with an arm 44 whose one end is turnably attached to a mount shaft provided in the condensing optical system assembly 5 equipped with a condenser 4, and whose other end is provided at a position eccentric to the output shaft 41 of the motor 40 and turnably attached to a shaft rotating together with the output shaft of the motor, and a spring 48 assisting the rotational force of the output shaft of the motor.
