PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing an aqueous dispersion of a finely divided isocyanate-terminated prepolymer particle in high concentration even when a high-viscosity prepolymer is used, and a process for producing in a short time an aqueous dispersion of a finely divided polyurethane resin particle in high concentration by extending the chain of the prepolymer. SOLUTION: An isocyanate-terminated prepolymer (a) and water are brought into contact and mixed with each other in a continuous kneader of an operating power of 2 kW/m<3> or higher to produce an aqueous dispersion (A) of the prepolymer (a), which is subjected to chain extension to produce an aqueous dispersion (B) of a polyurethane resin. |
