PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin having low specific gravity and easily separable from PET in a recycling process and provide a molded article made of the polyester resin. SOLUTION: The polyester resin contains 30-50 mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid and 50-70 mol% dimer acid, contains 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol as a main diol component and has a density of <=1.03 g/cm<3> . The polyester resin has a specific gravity smaller than that of PET resin to enable easy separation from the PET resin in the recycling use, has excellent heat-resistance and is widely usable as bottles, sheets, films, injection molded articles and fibers. |
