PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of synthesizing an ionic metal complex that is used as a supporting electrolyte for electrochemical devices, e.g. lithium cells, lithium ion cells, electric double layered capacitors, as a polymerization catalyst for polyolefin or the like, and as a catalyst for a variety of organic syntheses. SOLUTION: The ionic metal complex represented by general formula (1) is synthesized by reacting a compound represented by general formula (2) with a halogen-containing compound represented by general formula (3) or general formula (4) in an organic solvent in the presence of cocatalysts including elements of groups I, II, III or IV in the periodic table. |
