PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform the assembly and disassembly by reducing the burden on a worker in subassembling a vehicle component especially of the low volume production to be attached to a vehicle body and in disassembling the vehicle body. SOLUTION: In the assembly of a vehicle body, a plurality of subassembly areas (r) are disposed in the order of the processes of assembly along sides of a main line M for carrying the vehicle body W, and a truck 1 travelling while subassembling a component to be attached to the vehicle is disposed on the subassembly areas (r). The truck 1 has the subassembly function for subassembling the component to be attached to the vehicle, the mounting function for mounting the subassembled part, etc., the carrying function for carrying the subassembled parts, the specification confirmation function for confirming the specification of the subassembled part, etc., the charging function for charging an electric tightening tool, and the working posture changing function for changing the working posture of the worker. As for the vehicle body disassembly line, the subassembly areas (r) are used as disassembly areas (k), and the subassembly function of the truck 1 is converted to the disassembly function. The vehicle body is disassembled in the reverse order to that of the assembly while the truck 1 is moved in the reverse direction to that of the assembly to collect the disassembled components.
