The oven, consisting of a gas burner, a heat pipe (5) into which the gas flame is injected, and an outer casing (6) that is closed by a base and surrounds the pipe to form an annular heating chamber, has the casing and/or the heat pipe made with a polygonal, and especially a hexagonal or octagonal cross-section. The rear portion of the pipe is preferably made with peripheral apertures for the passage of the combustion gases, positioned opposite the angles (32) of the polygonal casing.
