PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush for a grinding machine in which there is no variance in the dimension of the protrusion of a free end of a linear grinding material at a lower end of a brush case, the dimension of the protrusion can be easily adjusted, and no axial deviation occurs during the rotation. SOLUTION: When the brush for the grinding machine is assembled by using the brush case 2 and a brush-like grinding wheel 3, an upper part of the brush- like grinding wheel 3 is inserted inside the brush case 2 so that a support shaft 25 is fitted in a shaft hole 30 of a holder 31, and screws 41 and 42 are screwed in screw holes 36 and 37 of the holder 31 by passing the screws 41 and 42 in guide holes 26 and 27 from the outer circumferential side of the brush case 2. The screws 41 and 42 are tightened until tip parts of shaft parts of the screws 41 and 42 are butted to the outer circumferential surface of the support shaft 25. If the screws 41 and 42 are stopped in a shallow condition, the brush-like grinding wheel 3 can be moved in the direction of the axis L on the inner side of the brush case 2.
