Composition (I) for sealing a cover onto a vessel made of mineral material, metal or wood comprises a solution, dispersion or emulsion of a thermoplastic resin or thermoplastic elastomer containing a silane or organosilane additive. Independent claims are also included for: (1) treatment of a vessel made of mineral material, metal or wood with a view to sealing it with a cover, comprising depositing (I) on sealing zones of the vessel and heat-treating the vessel to fix (I) on the sealing zones; (2) a vessel made of mineral material, metal or wood with sealing zones coated with one or more layers of (I).
