PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lithographic printing original which can be exposed to laser light and which has high sensitivity. SOLUTION: The lithographic printing original plate has an image forming layer applied by the coating amount of 500 mg/m<2> to 5 g/m<2> on a hydrophilic supporting body, with the image forming layer containing a phenol resin and a vinyl resin and having a phase separation state of the phenol resin and the vinyl resin. In the original plate, the surface of the image forming layer is covered with a continuous surface layer consisting of the phenol resin in the phase separation state, and the amount of the phenol resin constituting the surface layer is controlled to 60 to 120 mg/m<2> . |
