PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease possibility of load collapse by preventing crush of a lateral member of a steel-made flat pallet. SOLUTION: The pallet has metallic slender hollow lateral members (2) each being parallel to each other and a plurality of parallel slender metallic vertical members (3) each approximately perpendicularly crossing the lateral member (2), being located above its upper side and being secured to the vertical member (3) wherein a reinforcing member (4) is mounted in the concave portion of the lateral member (2) by means of bonding or insertion. If the mounted member (4) is metallic, it may be secured by welding. If the lateral member (2) has a cross section including a bottom portion (2a) and sidewalls (2b and 2c), the reinforcing member (4) preferably has portions (4a, 5a, 6a and 7a) each extending in the direction such that it crosses the sidewalls (2b and 2c) of the lateral member (2).
