TOOTH FLANK MENDING METHOD OF WORM GEAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tooth flank mending method of a worm gear capable of efficiently carrying out mending of tooth flank of a worm wheel even against any kind and any form of the worm gear and accordingly capable of improving performance of the worm gear. SOLUTION: This tooth flank mending method of the worm gear uses a hob having a cutting blade furnished with a pitch circle radius larger than a pitch circle radius of a worm wheel, the non-integral number of lines increased more than the number of lines of a worm in accordance with a ratio of these pitch circle radiuses, a tooth profile conjugate with a tooth profile of the worm and a lead angle equal to a lead angle of teeth of the worm in manufacturing the worm gear made of the worm and the worm wheel to be engaged with it.
