PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power filler in which an upper punch is disposed close to a feed shoe, the length of the upper punch can be reduced, and the problem that the upper punch is easily broken is solved, thereby a compression force to compress powder is increased, the strike of the upper punch for compressing the powder can be reduced, the compression time for the powder can be reduced, and the productivity of a green compact can be improved. SOLUTION: In this powder filler, air taping members A1 and A2 are disposed between the feed shoe 5 and a compressed air feed source 11 via a pipe, at least the feed shoe and the air tapping members are connected to each other via flexible pipes 6 and 17, and a compressed air releasing means 8 is disposed in the feed shoe.
