PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction in refrigerating capacity due to internal leakage in a four-way selector valve, in a refrigeration unit comprising an expander and switching between a cooling operation and a heating operation. SOLUTION: The refrigeration unit has the expander 22 as an expanding mechanism of a refrigerant, in a refrigerant circuit 10. The expander 22 is connected direct to a compressor 21 by a single driveshaft 25. The compressor 21 is connected to an indoor heat exchanger 11 and an outdoor heat exchanger 12 via the four-way selector valve 13. An operation of the four-way selector valve 13 switches a cooling operation and a heating operation to each other. The expander 22 is connected to the indoor heat exchanger 11 and the outdoor heat exchanger 12 via a bridge circuit 40. The bridge circuit 40 comprises four check valves CV-1 to CV-4. When the cooling operation and the heating operation are switched, flow paths of the refrigerant into and out of the expander 22 are changed by the bridge circuit 40.
