PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and inexpensive print process. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus for forming an image of ink jet deposition ink forming material on a member (16) and transferring that image to a receiving member (18) comprises an ink jet device (11) for forming a primary image, an image aggregation process zone (12), an excess liquid removing process zone (13), and a transfer process zone (14). Particles are aggregated in the primary image in the image aggregation process zone, and a part of carrier liquid is removed from the aggregate image in the excess liquid removing process zone. The primary image has a plurality of minimum resolution regions each of which receives a specified number of liquid drops of ink (17) from the ink jet device wherein the specified number includes zero.
