PURPOSE: A scattered oil interference isolating structure on a breather line is provided to prevent the interference of scattered oil in an inlet of a breather line by installing a U-section pipe. CONSTITUTION: A U-section pipe(13) is installed in an inlet(6a) of a breather line, and a gas flow hole(14) is formed on the side of the U-section pipe. An oil drain hole(15) of which diameter is smaller than that of the U-section pipe is formed in the lower end of the U-section pipe. Most of scattered oil for the cooling and lubrication of a piston collides against the U-section pipe and falls to the lower end of a crankcase(3). As blow-by gas flows in through the gas flow hole, the inlet is not interfered by the oil. The blow-by gas collected in the crankcase is smoothly discharged to a rocker cover through the fully opened inlet. Some of the oil flowing into the U-section pipe falls by the gravity. Simultaneously the oil is separated from the blow-by gas and collected via the oil drain hole. Simply the blow-by gas moves to the rocker cover along the breather line.
