PURPOSE: A seat belt retractor of a vehicle is provided to wind a webbing in a lower speed after rapidly winding the webbing by lowering an expansion degree of a retractor spring through a ball which elastically supports the retractor spring. CONSTITUTION: A retractor spring(32) is accommodated in a spring case(30). The other end of the retractor spring(32) is fixed to the spring case(32) and one end of the retractor spring(32) is fixed to a shaft(34). The shaft(34) is rotated when a webbing is withdrawn so that the retractor spring(32) is wound. When the wound retractor spring(32) is released, the shaft(34) is rapidly rotated so that the webbing is rapidly wound. A plurality of coil springs(36) are radially arranged at an inner peripheral portion of the spring case(30). A ball(38) is installed at an end of each coil spring(36) so as to elastically support the coil spring(36).
