PURPOSE: A blank holder for drawing press is provided to prevent deformation of the edge part of the product panel by installing an insert block on a die face surface of the blank holder after holding the edge part of a product panel to be pressed together with a die face surface of the edge of an upper mold. CONSTITUTION: The blank holder for drawing press is characterized in that insert grooves(17) are formed on the die face surface(13) of the blank holder(7) correspondingly to the edge of a product panel with the insert grooves being spaced apart from each other in a certain distance, and a subsidiary holding means for preventing deformation of the edge part during pressing of the panel is formed in the insert grooves, wherein the subsidiary holding means comprises an insert block(19) inserted into the insert grooves of the blank holder; guide bushes(25) which are inserted into the through holes by machining a plurality of through holes penetrating up to the lower part of the blank holder on the lower surface(21) of the insert grooves; a plurality of guide pins(27) which are inserted into the guide bushes(25) to vertically guide the insert block inside the insert grooves, the upper part of which is clamped to the insert block, and the lower part of which is contacted with a bolster(3); a spring pin(31) which is inserted into the mounting hole by piercing a mounting hole(29) penetrating up to the lower part of the blank holder at the center on the lower surface(21) of the insert grooves(17), the upper part of which is clamped to the insert block(19), and at the lower part of a spring retainer(33) is installed; and a restoration spring(35) inserted onto the spring pin to provide elastic force in a space between the spring retainer and the lower surface of the blank holder(7).
