PURPOSE: A method of controlling an LCD using an MIDI signal is provided to control illumination of a color LCD of a PDA with the MIDI signal, and to reproduce an audio by the MIDI signal as well as change the illumination of the color LCD, thereby giving visual enjoyment with audio effects. CONSTITUTION: A PDA downloads an MIDI data file. The PDA controls illumination of an LCD according to a reproduced musical scale of the MIDI data file. When downloading the MIDI data file, the PDA wirelessly downloads the MIDI data file. When controlling the illumination of the LCD, the PDA outputs brightness of the corresponding LCD according to the reproduced musical scale, reproduction speed, and an MIDI signal, and controls a blinking of the LCD light, then controls an illumination color.
