A continuous filtration device comprises a horizontally rotating filter drum, pref. fabricated in flat sections giving a hexagonal section, fed at its upper surface with raw liquid from a distributor head. The filtered product is collected in a trough inside the drum leading to a collection reservoir. Towards the lower zone of the drum a series of jets spray cleansing fluid, pref. water or steam onto the interior surface effecting a permanent cleaning action. The rejected liquid and cleansing fluid is collected at a funnel section in the lowest section of the drum housing. |
