PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base plate that can reduce electric charge when the discs are produced by injecting a aromatic polycarbonate and they are transported and has a small optical birefringence and to provide a direct read after write optical disk by using the base material. SOLUTION: A base plate for optical disks is produced by injecting an aromatic polycarbonate resin that is produced by transesterification reaction between an aromatic hydroxy compound and a carbonic diester and has a terminal structure represented by general formula (1) (wherein R<1> -R<5> are each independently H, F or a 1-20C perfluoroalkyl group except the case where all of the R<1> -R<5> are H) in an amount of 0.1-99 mol.% based on the total terminal structures and has a viscosity-average molecular weight of 10,000-23,000 carbonic diester. The draw type optical disks are produced by forming at least organic color recording layer. |
