TROIDAL TYPE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a troidal type continuously variable transmission structured as having a press device 34 of hydraulic type and allowing easy installation of balls 7 for constituting a ball spline 4a to support an input side disc 2a on an input side rotary shaft 1b. SOLUTION: In the condition that members except the press device 34, a flange ring 61 and a loading nut 12b are installed at the periphery of the input side rotary shaft 1b, the back end face 67 in a recess 62 formed at the inside surface of the input side disc 2a is positioned at the periphery of the effective groove part 66 of a male spline groove 5 formed at the peripheral surface of the input side rotary shaft 1b. This allows works to install the balls 7 without moving the input side disc 2a.
