<p>Benzimidazole derivs. of formula (I) (where R is one or more halogen, alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, alkylthio, CN or NO2, R' is aryl, heteroaryl opt. substd. by one or more halogen, alkyl, phenyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, cyano, nitro; R" is alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl, aralkenyl, phenyl, naphthyl, or heteroaryl opt. substd. by one or more halogen, alkyl, phenyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, CN or nitro; Y and Z are O or S; X is halogen) are prepd. by the treatment of a derivative of (I) in which the -CZ-YR" is replaced by H, with firstly the cpd. XCZ-X e.g. phosgene and secondly with the cpd. R"-YH.</p> |
