The invention relates to a method and an assembly for identifying a measuring cuff from among different available measuring cuffs in non-invasive blood pressure measurement, in which method measuring electronics and safety electronics as well as a first identification arrangement and a second identification arrangement are used, and in which method the first and the second identification arrangement are used independently from each other.
