WEAR-RESISTANT COVERING OBJECT AND SILENT CHAIN COVERING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wear-resistant covering object having excellent oil holding characteristic of lubricating oil and provide a silent chain having excellent resistance to wear. SOLUTION: Particles 10b made of a hard inorganic material different from a hard inorganic material forming a base covering 10a are dispersed and exist in a dotted manner in the base covering 10a made of the hard inorganic material, and a part of dispersed particles 10b existent in a dotted manner is exposed to a surface of the covering to constitute the wear-resistant covering object 10 having improved resistance to wear. A surface of the silent chain is covered with the wear-resistant covering object 10 to improve the resistance to wear to the silent chain.
