<p>Expansion and/or nucleation agent comprise Na 2-methanesulphonylpropane sulphite and its derivs. of formula:- CH3-SO2-CH-CH2-SO2-R (R is an organic radical chosen from opt. substd. phenyl, alkyl, cycloalkyl or heterocyclic, opt. substd. epoxy, alcohol, ester, ketone, amide, nitrile, acid or acid salt, substd. benzyl or opt. substd. higher aryl) of weak thermostability. They are used esp. for PVC, polyethylene, polystyrene or vinylidene chloride, which are used in the prepn. of cellular articles.</p> |
